1) The Delivery System for Study Material
IGNOU has made immense progress and took a lot of initiatives since 1985 and now offers study resources on a variety of platforms. IGNOU offers both online and offline lectures and study material. There are also a variety of channels that provide information on IGNOU courses.  Â
a) Printed Study Material: For the convenience of students, IGNOU provides printed books as an option. Please complete the application and mail it to the address provided. Students have the option of having their studies printed. If students want printed documents, they must pay an additional fee.Â
b) Online Study Material: Students can access a variety of digital learning materials through IGNOU. Students can use eGyankosh to access materials for their studies from an IGNOU repository for research resources. Students can access all course study materials using the university’s mobile application and download them in PDF format. The IGNOU e-content mobile application can be accessed on your smartphone’s Playstore. Â
c) Weekend Counselling: IGNOU holds weekend classes or introduction meetings with students to introduce the institution and its programmes. Students receive weekend counselling at their local centres for six weeks.
d) Audio and visual lessons: IGNOU has come a long way since its inception. Students can engage in audio and video lectures at the institution via the following platforms:Â
- Broadcasting Via DD1, All India RadioÂ
- Screening of Lectures at Study CentersÂ
- Recording which can be purchasedÂ
- Live Lectures on platforms like SWAYAM etc.
e) Radio Lectures: IGNOU hosts a number of interactive sessions in cooperation with All India Radio and Phone-In Services. Gyankosh, GyanDarshan, Gyanvani, and a variety of other programmes are available to assist you in becoming familiar with the curriculum.
2) Assessments – Assignments and term-end examinations are used by IGNOU to assess students’ progress. Students must submit their assignments before the end of the year/semester in order to take the exam. Students can access all task inquiries using the IGNOU website.
3) Assignments – The assignment must be completed and submitted on time for IGNOU students to be included in the final exams. Students can locate the assignments on the IGNOU portal, as well as the deadlines for submitting them. Courses and schedules for each topic are available on the official IGNOU website. IGNOU pays for 30% of the job, and student supervision is necessary. Scholarships can be applied online or at a local institution.
4) Examinations – IGNOU holds examinations twice a year, in June and December. Exams account for 70% of each student’s degree, and students who fail the test will be eligible to reapply in the next cycle. If you did not pass the examinations, for example, you can reapply in December.
5) Placements – Even as a distance learning university, IGNOU has the infrastructure to deliver placements. IGNOU established its own Campus Placement Cell (CPC) in 2005 to help students find legitimate jobs and prepare for interviews. The placement cell at IGNOU organises job fairs and counselling to help students prepare for regional centre interviews.
