The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the admission deadline for its January 2025 session for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programs. Interested candidates can now apply until February 15, 2025. Previously, the last date for registration was January 31, 2025. Eligible candidates can complete their registration by visiting the official IGNOU websites ignou.ac.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Wanted to apply for online and distance programs at IGNOU, but because of any reason you missed it, then you have another chance to save your academic year as IGNOU has extended the last date till 15th Feb, 2025. You can still apply for all the programs offered in ODL/Online mode. So, if you want to enroll in any undergraduate, postgraduate, or diploma course and certificate courses you still have time until February 15th to register.

Steps to Apply for IGNOU January 2025 Admission

Students can apply for these courses online through the official IGNOU admission portal: http://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. or https://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in/  The application process involves filling out the form with personal and academic details, paying the required fees, and submitting the form.

1) Visit the official admission portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

2) Register yourself on the homepage.

3) Fill in the application form and submit the application fee.

4) Take a printout of the application for future reference.

Required Documents At the Time of Filling out the Form

2) You need to attach all the documents required. Make sure to attach all the scanned copies of your documents.
3) Provide a scanned signature with a file size of less than 100 KB.
4) Submit a scanned photograph with a file size of less than 100 KB.
5) If you’re from the SC/ST/OBC category, include a scanned copy of your Category Certificate with a file size of less than 200 KB.
6) Upload scanned copies of your Relevant Educational Qualifications with a file size of less than 200 KB.
7) If applicable, a scanned copy of your Experience Certificate (size should be less than 200 KB).

IGNOU offers more than 200 programs across various specializations, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses. Admission to most courses is based on the candidate’s Marks in their qualifying examinations. However, specific programs such as B.Ed, MPhil, PhD, and Post-Basic BSc Nursing require candidates to clear entrance exams.
