DU SOL MBA

The Delhi University is one of the pioneer educational institutions in the country providing a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs through many departments. Assessment Process
 – Medium of Instruction & Exam: English
– Exam Centre: Only in Delhi.
– Total Marks per Paper: 100 (70 marks for semester-end exam & 30 marks for internal assessment)

Passing Criteria
– Minimum 40% in semester-end exam
– Overall aggregate: 45% (including internal + end-term marks)

Promotion to Second Year (Part II)

– Clear at least 12 out of 16 papers in the first year.
– Successfully complete summer training. (If not fulfilled, the student is declared failed in 1st year.)

Re-Examination Schedule
– Semester 2: Reappear for Semester 1 papers.
– Semester 3: Reappear for Semester 1 & 2 papers (only if promoted to Semester 3).
– Semester 4: Reappear for any paper from Semester 1, 2, or 3.

Special Provision:

If failed in Semester 4 (Part II), students get a special chance to reappear in max 2 papers of Part II after final results.

Division of Degree
– First Division: 60% and above
– Second Division: Above 50% but below 60%
– Third Division: All others

Internships play an important role in the career development of DU SOL MBA students by bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application. At the Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL), internships are seen as a very important component of the MBA programme, helping students gain real-world exposure, hands-on experience, and essential workplace skills. DU SOL actively supports its students in exploring diverse industries and job roles through its dedicated Placement Cell. The cell collaborates with a variety of organizations to offer internship opportunities across sectors. DU SOL has also partnered with OLDC to provide internships that expose students to cutting-edge industry trends and technologies.

To enhance employability and professional readiness, summer internships are mandatory for all non-working MBA students in their second year. The duration of the internship program is 8 weeks (either as one internship or two internships of 4 weeks each).

Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL MBA) provides study materials to MBA program learners both online and offline. Materials can be downloaded from the SOL Website. Printed materials are also sent directly to the learner’s registered address via speed post. 

1) Study Material
Free Study Material is provided as per DEB guidelines—soft copies available on the SOL website.
Printed study material is sent by post or distributed at regional centers.
If a student opts not to take printed material, a ₹400/- rebate is provided on the admission fee.
If a student who took the rebate later wants printed material, ₹600/- will be charged.

2) Library Facilities

• MBA library services are available only at the North Campus Centre.
• Key Services: Membership registration & renewal | Book lending, reading room, and reference services | Book Bank for marginalized students (with income certificate) | Access to: N-LIST (e-resources, 1.6 lakh+ e-books, 10,000+ journals), DELNET, Web OPAC, DU E-Library, E-Dues Clearance, EOC services for visually impaired
• Login credentials for N-LIST access are shared via email.
• Library Timings – Monday to Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  Sundays/Holidays: Open only during Academic Counseling & PCP classes

3) Book Bank Facility
Available for students with family income below ₹2.5 Lakh/annum.
Must upload valid Income Certificate while applying.
Up to 4 books per semester; to be returned within 10 days after semester exams.
Late fine applicable for delays; lost books must be replaced with the latest edition.

4) Identity Card
Downloadable from the SOL Website
Must be carried to access library and attend classes.

5) Student Counseling & Academic Sessions
Academic counseling by faculty is available on all working days at North Campus.
Counseling Sessions (ACS) are held on Sundays/Gazetted Holidays at various centers.
Delivered by experienced faculty from DU and other reputed institutes.
