This course is a PG management course of 2 years that has the approval of UGC-DEB. DU-SOL also has the approval of the AICTE to offer the MBA program. This course is designed to equip management students with knowledge regarding the various operations and production management aspects in a company.

Eligibility (Graduation with 50% or its equivalent): Since this is a postgraduate program, it can be taken up by students who have completed their Bachelor’s education. So, the minimum eligibility criteria to be fulfilled for admissions is that the candidate should be a Bachelor’s graduate in any discipline, from a recognized university/institute. They should also have a minimum aggregate score of 50% at the Bachelor’s level. DU SOL MBA In Production and Operation Fees Structure & scholarships
The fee for an MBA from DU-SOL is comparatively within an affordable range as compared to private institutions offering an MBA program. The full course fee for two years for this program is INR 95,000, inclusive of charges for tuition fee, university maintenance funds, student welfare charges, SLM charges etc. Students can pay the fee in the annual mode, where the payable amount would be INR 47,500. The university also charges a registration fee amount of INR 250 (INR 100 for the reserved categories) from students separately during admissions. The examination fee for the course is also charged separately on a per-semester basis.

DU SOL MBA In Production and Operation Admission Process (How to Apply?)
DU-SOL conducts admissions to this course on an annual basis, with the registrations and admissions in the months of October-November. Candidates can apply to the course by registering themselves online through the official university portal. The final shortlisting of the candidates is on the basis of merit criteria (for DU graduates) and entrance criteria (for non-DU graduates). Students selected in the admission list can then enroll in the course by paying their academic fee for the course. Mode of Delivery – Students are provided with Self Learning Materials for this course, which can be accessed in the digital format or the printed format. Students can avail printed SLMs by applying for the same during admissions, or they can access the online SLMs which are available on the official DU-SOL website free of cost. Students are encouraged to be Eco-friendly by opting only for digital SLMs, for which they are also offered a fee abatement of INR 400 during admissions. The SLMs are prepared to be easy-to-follow for self-paced learning, while maintaining the industry-orientation to ensure practical plus conceptual understanding.
Evaluation – The evaluation for the course is done on the basis of two main components, namely Internal Assessment (IA) and term-end examinations, which carry academic weightages of 30% and 70%. The IA includes the student’s assignments, quizzes, projects and the term-end exams include the final examinations along with practicals (if included) for the semester. A student must score a minimum of 45% marks in both the IA and term-end examination to qualify a paper. An overall of 45% marks must also be maintained in a semester.
Instruction and Teaching – Students taking this course benefit from both self-paced learning and face-to-face interaction with faculty. Students are provided with SLMs for self-paced learning, which have been prepared in an easy to follow and practical manner. Additionally, SOL also conducts Personal Contact Programs (PCPs) for the course during which students pursuing the course can visit the university campus and attend lectures over a designated period to clarify their doubts and queries and engage in peer network building.
Term-End Examination – DU-SOL conducts examinations in the physical, offline mode for this course. The exam is of a full duration of 3 hours, total of 70 marks, and in the medium of English. Students need to appear for the exam at their designated examination center. They must obtain at least 40% marks to qualify an exam. They must fill the examination form and submit their exam fee prior to the commencement of the tests to be eligible to appear for the exam.
Placement – The university has a dedicated placement cell for the School of Open Learning, which organises various professional skill building ventures for students pursuing the MBA course. Some of them include industry connect sessions where students can interact with industry experts, professional workshops etc. Apart from professional support, students can also benefit much from the job fairs and placement drives conducted by the placement cell, in which the hiring partners of the university like WIPRO, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Genpact etc. participate.
