DU SOL MBA In Agribusiness Management Duration & Eligibility
Eligibility (Graduation with 50% or its equivalent): The candidates are expected to meet the eligibility criteria for the course satisfactorily as it is the preliminary shortlisting criteria. The candidate must at least be a Bachelor’s graduate from a recognised university to be eligible to apply to the course. They should also have a minimum aggregate score of 50% at the Bachelor’s level. Students from any educational stream can seek admissions to this program. Working professionals having relevant experience in the agribusiness sectors are also encouraged by the university to take the course up.
Duration (2 to 5 years): The course being a postgraduate degree program, is of a duration of 2 years. The maximum course period is of 4 years, i.e. students enrolled in the course get an extra period of 2 years to complete the course and qualify all the papers in the semesters. Students also get a summer break after the completion of the second semester, during which they must complete an internship in the relevant field.

The course syllabus for the MBA in Agribusiness Management is industry-relevant and delivered across 4 semesters. The first two semesters include a number of management core subjects like marketing, financial management, human resources, operations management etc. The third and fourth semesters introduce the candidates to specialisation courses like agrieconomics, agri-import and export management, agribusiness strategies, food retailing, cooperative management etc.

The full course fee for an MBA in Agribusiness Management from DU-SOL is Rs. 95,000 for two years. The annual payable amount for the course is Rs. 47,500, which is inclusive of tuition fees, university maintenance funds, student welfare funds, service and facilities charges, SLMs etc. The registration fee (Rs, 100/Rs. 250) and the semester-wise examination fees are charged separately from students.

DU SOL MBA In Agribusiness Management Admission Process (How to Apply?)
The candidates can apply to this course by registering themselves as fresh users on the official university portal for admissions. They can then fill the application form for the course, and submit the digital copies of the necessary documents along with the registration fee. DU-SOL will shortlist candidates on the basis of merit criteria and entrance exam performance and release admission lists. Evaluation – Students pursuing this course are evaluated on the basis of 2 criteria- the Internal Assessment (IA) and the term-end examinations, which carry an academic weightage of 30% and 70% respectively. A student must score at least 40% marks in both the IA and term-end exams to qualify the subject. An aggregate of 45% must be maintained to qualify a semester.
Assignments – Assignments, along with projects and quizzes comprise the Internal Assessment component of evaluation, which is of a total of 30 marks. The assignments for this course are assigned virtually, through the assignment portal of DU-SOL. They must be completed and submitted for evaluation within the deadline. Assignments can be submitted through the portal of DU-SOL. Assignments in MBA in Agribusiness Management are research-oriented, to enhance the practical skills, analytical and critical abilities of the students.
Term-End Examination – The term-end examinations for the MBA in Agribusiness Management are conducted in the physical mode, and students must appear for the examinations at designated exam centres. The exam is of a total of 70 marks (per paper) and a duration of 3 hours. A student must score at least 40% marks in the examination to qualify it. The exam form needs to be filled and examination fee submitted prior to the exam commencement.
