The School of Open Learning (SOL) at Delhi University, established in 1962, is a constituent college offering programs in humanities, social sciences, and commerce. SOL provides a range of UG and PG courses, including BA, BCom, MA, and MCom. Registration for SOL Admission 2024 is now open. DU SOL BLISc Admission 2024-25
The SOL BLISc program is a one-year undergraduate course in Library and Information Science, divided into two semesters. Students have up to three years to complete the DU SOL BLISc Course and may re-appear for examinations in the corresponding odd or even semesters.
Eligibility: Eligibility for SOL DU BLISc Admission requires graduation from a recognized university. SOL DU MLISc Admission 2024-25
The deadline for DU SOL MLISc Admission 2024-25 is 15th October 2024. The DU SOL MLISc is a one-year postgraduate course divided into two semesters. Students have up to three years to complete the course, with the option to re-appear for exams in the corresponding odd or even semesters.
Eligibility: Eligibility criteria for DU SOL MLISc Admission include graduation from a BLISc course with at least 50% marks for the General category, 45% for OBC/EWS/PwBD categories, and passing marks for SC/ST categories. There is no age restriction for this course.
DU SOL MA Admission 2024-25
DU SOL MA admission registration for 2024 will take place in August or September. The Master of Arts (MA) is a two-year PG degree pursued after completing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Popular MA courses include History, English, Economics, and Political Science.
Eligibility: Students who have completed their UG degree are eligible to apply. Admission to MA programs requires passing an entrance exam, which is administered by most universities and institutes. DU SOL PGDADLM Admission 2024-25
The Post Graduate Diploma in Automated and Digital Library Management (PGDADLM) is a one-year full-time course divided into two semesters. Students must complete the course within two years. Those who do not secure passing grades or miss exams (Practical, Theory, or Internal Assessment) can retake the exams with the next batch. The online admission process starts on June 3, 2024, and students can apply through the SOL admission portal at www.soladmission.samarth.edu.in. As Per Delhi University Ordinance, there is no minimum age requirement for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the University and its affiliated colleges.
DU SOL MBA Admission 2024-25
Admissions for the DU SOL MBA program for the 2024-25 academic session are now open. Interested candidates must apply before the deadline of payment 07 October 2024. The MBA is a two-year postgraduate management course, extendable to four years. The minimum eligibility criterion is a Graduation degree with 50% marks from any recognized university in any discipline.
DU SOL MBA Admission Selection Criteria:
Merit for admission will be determined as follows:
Category 1:
- 20% weightage for a minimum of four years of work experience.
- 15% weightage for a minimum of three years of work experience.
- 10% weightage for a minimum of two years of work experience.
- 5% weightage for a minimum of one year of work experience.
- No weightage for less than one year of work experience.
- 80% weightage based on Graduation Marks.
- 20% weightage for professional work experience in any recognized Government or non-Government/Corporate Organization (a No Objection Certificate from the employer is mandatory for working professionals).
Note: Candidates without professional work experience are eligible for the MBA, but their merit will be solely based on Graduation marks.
Category 2: For MBBS/BDS/MD/MDS degree holders or those with experience in Hospital Administration for two years (No Objection Certificate from the employer is mandatory for working professionals).
Category 3: For Group A Officers of Government and Public Undertaking Organizations with a graduation in any discipline (No Objection Certificate from the employer is mandatory).
Category 4: For individuals with two or more years of experience in Corporate Houses, the Hospitality and Transportation Sector, Industry, Service Sector, or as self-employed professionals (documentary evidence is mandatory).
*Preference will be given to these categories.
