Due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the National Medical Commission (NMC) in India made it mandatory for foreign medical graduates who completed their fourth and fifth years online to complete a two-year internship instead of one after obtaining their MBBS degree. The Supreme Court, in March, urged the Central Government to assist these foreign medical graduates in resolving their situation.
