The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has further extended the last date for fresh admissions and re-registrations for its July 2025 admission cycle. Students can now apply for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes (except for Certificate and Semester-based Programmes) until October 15, 2025.

Earlier, the last date for admission was September 30, 2025. With this extension, students who missed the previous deadlines have another opportunity to apply without losing their academic year.

IGNOU Admission 2025 (Last Date, 15th October, 2025): Candidates can apply by visiting the university’s official website.

Interested candidates can apply for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and other programs offered in ODL/Online mode by visiting the official admission portals: ignou.ac.in, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, or ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

Steps to Apply for IGNOU July 2025 Admission

Students can apply for these courses online through the official IGNOU admission portal: http://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. or https://ignouiop.samarth.edu.in/  The application process involves filling out the form with personal and academic details, paying the required fees, and submitting the form.

1) Visit the official admission portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

2) Register yourself on the homepage.

3) Fill in the application form and submit the application fee.

4) Take a printout of the application for future reference.

Required Documents At the Time of Filling out the Form

1) DEB ID is mandatory for submission of application. You need to create your DEB ID before starting the application process. To know more, please click here https://www.ignou.ac.in/viewFile/SRD/notification/DEBIDCreation.pdf
2) You need to attach all the documents required. Make sure to attach all the scanned copies of your documents.
3) Provide a scanned signature with a file size of less than 100 KB.
4) Submit a scanned photograph with a file size of less than 100 KB.
5) If you’re from the SC/ST/OBC category, include a scanned copy of your Category Certificate with a file size of less than 200 KB.
6) Upload scanned copies of your Relevant Educational Qualifications with a file size of less than 200 KB.
7) If applicable, a scanned copy of your Experience Certificate (size should be less than 200 KB).

IGNOU offers 200+ programs across disciplines, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses. Admission to most programs is merit-based (qualifying exam marks), while professional programs such as B.Ed., MPhil, PhD, and Post-Basic BSc Nursing require candidates to qualify through entrance exams.
