If you have completed 10+2 qualification, you can apply for online and distance bcom admission. You can study at your own speed for 3 to 8 years as per your convenience. You’ll gain basic knowledge in various subjects like Humanities, Social Sciences, Computers, and Science & Technology due to compulsory foundation courses. With some practical courses included, you can learn vocational or professional skills. You can also increase your computer skills by choosing computer courses.

If you’ve completed ICWA/CMA courses from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), you can transfer credits/exemptions for IGNOU’s BCOMG and BCOMOL programs. For applying for the course you can have a 10+2 qualification, and even if you don’t have that, completing IGNOU’s Bachelors Preparatory Programme (BPP) makes you eligible.
The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program offered by IGNOU is a flexible and affordable undergraduate course designed for students who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board. IGNOU BCom Duration & Eligibility
Eligibility (10+2 or its equivalent): Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent from a recognized board.
– Age Limit – No minimum or maximum age limit for admission.
Duration (2 to 5 years): Minimum Duration – 3 years
– Maximum Duration – 6 years
– This allows flexibility for working professionals or students preparing for competitive or professional exams.
Admission Criteria for Indian Students
To get admission in B.COM follow these steps carefully:-
– Visit the IGNOU official website.
– Proceed to pay the online fee for B.Com registration.
– Pick your desired specialization from the available options.
– Find and click on the “New Registration” option on IGNOU’s homepage.
– And on the Admission portal, choose “UG Degree” and then select “IGNOU B.Com.”
– Register by filling in your email and personal information in the new registration portal.
– Once everything is filled out, submit your application form for IGNOU B.Com admission.
– After registering, log in to the “New Admission 2025” section using your registered email and IGNOU password.
– Complete the IGNOU B.Com application form by entering your personal and educational details. Remember to upload the scanned required documents.
Admission Criteria for Foreign Students
IGNOU also welcomes students from Foreign countries to get admission to the management courses offered by the School of Management Studies. The eligibility criteria to pursue the IGNOU Online B.COM Course for foreign students are as follows:
– The students must have a valid student visa for the minimum duration of the Online B.COM program (3 years).
– The admission of such students is processed by the International Division of IGNOU after confirming their antecedents from the Ministry of Human Resource Development or Ministry of External Affairs.
