Great news for those who have set foot on the path to secure admission at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) from the July 2024 Session. This is the second time that the university has re-extended for online and ODL programs. You now have until September 10, 2024 to fill your application.
By applying for online and ODL programs online via the official website of IGNOU, students can register themselves at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. For online courses, candidates will have to visit the other official website — ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

IGNOU made the announcement via its official account on X, stating: “The extension of last date for July 2024 Fresh Admission & July 2024 Re-registration till 10th August 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode.”

The announcement was made via a post of IGNOU on social media platform X that the last date for submission of applications for all ODL (Open and Distance Learning) programmes and online Programmes (except Certificate & Semester Based Programme) has been extended till September 10, 2024 Similarly, those who have to register again for the next half- year or academic session can do so until 10 September, 2024.
From undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma levels; applications may be made through the ODL and online portals. To re-register, current students can go to the re-registration portal.
How To Fill Application forms for IGNOU July Admission 2024 Important Documents Required to Apply
For the application of IGNOU admission make sure you should have these documents at:
- A scanned passport size photograph
- Your Signature scanned (less than 100 KB)
- Mandatory attachments include scanned copies of your educational certificates.
- Facsimile (optional) of your letter drawable
- SC/ ST and OBC Category certificate
Please remember that scanned copies must also be in files under the size limits 100 KB (photos and signature) or of less than 200KB for all other documents.
